Formerly owned by JP Morgan Chase and referred to as the Chase Manhattan Centre, 1201 North Market Street in Wilmington is the tallest building in Delaware. It is a steel construction in modernist architecture and stands 330 feet tall with 23 floors. The skyscraper was designed by architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP. Its construction was completed in 1988. It has also been known as Chemical Bank Plaza and Manufacturers Hanover Plaza.
Last November, the American Lung Association held the 2012 Fight for Air Climb up the building’s 500 steps.
