Located at 100 Light Street in Baltimore Maryland, Transamerica Tower stands 529 feet tall and has 40 floors. It was completed in 1973 after three years of construction. This concrete skyscraper was designed in modernist architecture by Vlastimil Koubek Associates.
Transamerica tower is the tallest building from Philadelphia to Charlotte. It served as headquarters for the insurance company USF&G and later, for the investment company Legg Mason. Its name was changed to Transamerica Tower in November of 2011. The building is currently used by 800 Transamerica workers, and also by Baltimore law firm Ober/Kaler.
